Lottieann "Lottie" Lewis passed away in her home in Grapevine, Texas on April 16, 2017. She was born on December 22, 1945 to Douglas and Lottie (Mueller) Lewis in Amityville, New York. Lottie lived a very interesting, creative life and delighted in challenging the status-quo. In her early twenties, Lottie began her career in New York City as a hematology technician at the New York University Medical Center, before heading a lab for the president of the American Medical Association. Later, acclaiming her own creative spirit, she worked in the art departments of Vogue and Mademoiselle Magazines and often spoke of her love of engaging with so many esteemed visionaries and artists.

Lottie started her family with Brian McCabe in Montclair, New Jersey where they welcomed two children, Bradie and Brian. It was during this time that Lottie became a devotee of Siddha Yoga, inspiring her lifelong spiritual journey. Later, in Fort Myers, Florida, Lottie's family grew with Clement Concodora when they brought their daughter, Sorrel, into the world. Sanibel Island became Lottie's beloved hometown in 1984. Her love for the arts, spirituality, sense of humor, and enjoyment of all of the living creatures that shared Sanibel and Captiva will be forever cherished through the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Lottieann leaves her loving imprint with her three children, Bradie (McCabe) Hansen, Brian McCabe, Sorrel (Concodora) Dilanian, and their partners; her two grandchildren, Jacob and Else Hansen; and her brother, Douglas Lewis, niece, Lisa Lewis, nephew, Douglas Lewis, as well as their partners and children.

Following her death, Lottie's immediate family held a private ceremony in Grapevine, Texas. At a later date, Lottie's children will hold a small service in Florida to celebrate their mother's life with help from close friends, loved ones, and the local wildlife, beach waves, and sunsets.
