Matzaluna Italian Restaurant and F.I.S.H. are joining together to help restock the nonprofit's food pantry, due to the need to replenish the shelves with school starting.

Matzaluna Italian Restaurant is offering a limited promotion starting Friday, Aug. 18. Matzaluna will donate a 16 ounce Big Top Brewery's PB&J Pale Ale in exchange for a jar of peanut butter, or any other food donation with at least a $10 value. The promotion will continue until Matzaluna goes through their two kegs.

F.I.S.H OF SANCAP is a nonprofit, staffed by more than 200 volunteers, assisting Sanibel and Captiva islanders and visitors with a wide range of services. For 35 years F.I.S.H. has been a "neighbors helping neighbors" organization offering a wide range of human services including: emergency financial assistance; food pantry; non-emergency transport on and off the island; temporary loan of health equipment; daily hot meals program; youth scholarships and adult continuing education assistance.

F.I.S.H. relies on community support to fund all programs and accepts unopened, unexpired food items for their Food Pantry. Without the tax-deductible donations, F.I.S.H. would not be able to provide the services that they do due to 92.5 percent of all donations going directly to F.I.S.H. programming.

F.I.S.H. OF SANCAP is the Sanibel United Way House and an equal opportunity provider. For additional information, visit www.fishofsancap.org, or stop by at 2430 Periwinkle Way.

Matzaluna Italian Restaurant is part of the Prawnbroker Restaurant Group, a locally owned and operated collection of restaurants dedicated to providing great food and service experiences while supporting the community which we all live. Matzaluna is located at 1200 Periwinkle Way.
