Citizens of the Week

Kindergarteners and first-grade students earn Sea Horse tickets for good behavior, a helpful attitude and an eagerness to learn. Each week, the school selects a Sea Horse ticket winner from the classes. The winners get to select a prize from the prize cabinet. The following students are the recent Citizens of the Week: Alexander Flynt, Angelina Roa, Simon Allison and Lucy Demaras.

The Future of Art: Student Exhibits

The Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers will host its yearly show, The Future of Art: Student Exhibits, from April 5-13, showcasing the best student artwork from Lee County's schools.

The Sanibel School will have the following students on display:

- Middle school: Anna Lermer, Jack Sergeant and Nicholas Underwood

- Elementary school: Dillon Barron, Yuan Bonhayag, Jillian Breece, Lily Brennan, Molly Dunn, Pierce Farhat, Fisher Ignac, Gia Lackenby, Julia Lemmon, Gretta Livermon, Korynn Livermon, Grace McKinney, Caroline Muddell, Sophia Schroy, Daniel Tison and Lilly Wolf

The Alliance for the Arts is at 10091 McGregor Blvd.

Spring Music Showcase

The Spring Music Showcase will take place on April 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the school's Cafetorium.

The Seahorse Chorale, Elementary Choir, Fun with Instruments and STOMP groups will perform. Additionally, performing arts will present a sneak peak of their upcoming Disney's "The Lion King Jr."

Also, be sure to stop by the Safari Book Fair in the Media Center and go on a reading adventure.

Showcase tickets are $5; all students will receive one free ticket.

Concessions will also be available for purchase.

All funds raised will go to support the music department.
