The Lee Coast Chapter of MOAA - Military Officers Association or America - will hold its 6th Annual Bob Janes Memorial Golf Outing on April 10 at Shell Point Golf Club in Fort Myers.

This year's honorary chair is retired Master Chief Terry Moy, a former member of the Navy SEAL Frogman team that retrieved Apollo 17. There will be a silent auction at the conclusion of the outing.

The goal is to continue support of veteran scholarships at Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida SouthWestern State College, JROTC scholarships and Veteran Service Projects in the local area.

The deadline to register is April 1 or when the 44 player slots are filled.

Registration forms can be found online at www.leecoastmoaa.com.

Sponsorships are being accepted, starting from $150 for a hole sponsor on up to $5,000.

With 400 chapters across the United States, the MOAA is dedicated to maintaining a strong national defense and serving members of the uniformed services, veterans and their families. Established in 1982, the Lee Coast chapter exemplifies the "Never Stop Serving" motto, evidenced by its distribution of over $180,000 in support to veteran-related programs in the past six years through its foundation.
