A Universe of Stories Storytime

Turtle Tracks

Experience Virtual Reality

Experience "The Lab," a compilation of Valve's room-scale VR experiments set in a pocket universe within Aperture Science, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. Fix a robot, defend a castle, adopt a mechanical dog and more. Also, experience the 5-10 minute HTC Vive VR experience "Coral Reef, Whale Encounter and Deep Sea" or experiment with painting in a 3-D space with Google Tilt Brush. For ages 10 and over. Family Beach Walk

MONDAY, JULY 15

Monday Movie Matinee

The Sanibel Public Library will show "Lego Movie 2" from 1 to 3 p.m. at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part" reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical.
