July 10, 2019

The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village will remain open during the BIG ARTS' construction project. The project will continue through the remainder of the village's season and into next season, but parking and access for village guests and volunteers will be available throughout that time.

The traditional entrance to the village has been closed off for the construction and a new temporary entrance has been made available down the road to the west at what was the exit drive. That drive will now function as both an entrance and exit access. Clear signage has been added at both places.

The museum's summer schedule is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.

It will close on July 31 and reopen on Oct. 15.

Free guided tours are at 10:30 a.m., based upon docent availability.

Admission costs $10 for ages 18 and older; children and members are free.

For information, call 239-472-4648 or visit www.sanibelmuseum.org.

The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village is at 950 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
