ThinkTank

The ThinkTank will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the east end of the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. Come play on the interactive floor as the MagixBox projects from the ceiling to the floor. Squish mosquitoes, splat eggs or make a trail of stars in some of the ever-changing activities. Celebrate National Honey Bee Day

In celebration of National Honey Bee Day, learn about bees and native plants for pollinators from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, at 2350 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. There will be a live honey extraction demonstration, a honey bee lecture by David Westervelt with the Florida State Beekeepers Association, and a presentation on Florida native plants for pollinators by the Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society. There also will be local honey available for sale and tasting and informational tables with guests from the Florida Native Plant Society, Florida State Beekeepers Association and Solitary Bee Homes. Native and other pollinator plants will be available for sale. The free event does not include admission to the homes, gardens, museum or laboratory.
