UPDATE: Amended lane closures planned along McGregor

UPDATE:

The Lee County Department of Transportation released the following amended notice regarding lane closures on McGregor Boulevard for the Sanibel overhead sign structures installation:

- Aug. 22-23: McGregor west of Shell Pointe OHS1 and OHS3; westbound right through lane closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drilled shaft and guardrail installations

- Aug. 26-27: McGregor west of Shell Pointe; eastbound and westbound left-hand through lanes closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drilled shaft and guardrail installations

- Aug. 28-29: McGregor west of Shell Pointe OHS1 and OHS3; westbound right through lane closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drilled shaft installation and to move the structure to the site and assemble the signs

- Aug. 30: McGregor west of Shell Pointe OHS2; eastbound and westbound left-hand through lanes closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to move the structure to the site and assemble the signs

ORIGINAL (Aug. 16, 2019):

The city of Sanibel reported receiving a notice that Lee County will have a contractor installing drilled shafts and guardrail for new sign structures on McGregor Boulevard west of Shell Point Boulevard.

Weather permitting, the following lane closures are scheduled:

- Aug. 21: McGregor west of Shell Pointe OHS2; eastbound left through lane closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for guardrail installation

- Aug. 22: McGregor west of Shell Pointe OHS1 and OHS3; westbound right through lane closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drilled shaft and guardrail installation

- Aug. 23: McGregor west of Shell Pointe; eastbound and westbound left through lane closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drilled shaft and guardrail installation
