Tarpon Bay Explorers' superior customer service was recently recognized and reflected by having 12 employees nominated for Lee County's Visitors and Convention Bureau's E-Awards.

"We are very proud of all our employees who provide awesome customer service on a daily basis," Assistant Manager Adam Sauerland said. "Customers and visitors keep this island's and our company's wheels turning."

E-Award nominations are given when a visitor feels someone went above and beyond their expectations to provide a bolstered rewarding experience as a result of that person's outstanding customer service.

"It gives our employees a sense of empowerment and fulfillment in the work they do," Sauerland said. "We hope to continue this trend for years to come."

TBE is the recreation concession to the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, providing low-impact recreational activity and educational opportunities.
